| Introduction |
Generwell is a great tool for sharing data, but communication is a fundamental requirement for business success! Our Work Flow module provides a flexible solution for keeping all your personnel in the loop. |
| Message Configurations |
Any data element can be configured to send an automatic e-mail, this is called a message trigger. When data associated with a message trigger is updated, the client defined message is generated with the appropriate recipients. If required, the message can be limited to send only under certain circumstances. A message can also be defined as Optional or Mandatory. |
| Message Recipients |
A message recipient is defined in one of two ways, as a position (i.e. Geologist) or as a fixed individual (i.e. Joe Smith). Each message can be defined to have one or more recipient groups. Each group may have filter criteria to limit their inclusion based on defined circumstances. |
|
| Message Example |
Let's take an example. A message is defined with the field 'Drilling License' as the message trigger, so when any user updates this field (assuming they have permission) the pre-defined message is presented to the user. The user may be forced to send the message if it's defined as Mandatory or it may be Optional.
In our example, there are 5 recipients, 4 by position and 1 individual. The positions are Geologist, Engineer, Construction Supervisor and Safety Coordinator. The individual recipient is Bill Jones. Using a filter, the Safety Coordinator will only receive the message if the H2S is greater than zero. Now, when the drilling license for any well is updated, the personnel assigned to the above 3 positions, plus Bill Jones will receive a message. The Safety Coordinator will also receive the message if the H2S is greater than zero. |
