Taking an idea from the basement to the boardroom, the genesis of Micotan Software Company Ltd. was with the incorporation of the Company in July, 2002.  Administrative, Sales and Technical staff were added to bring forth new products as demanded by Oil Patch, service and producer companies alike.

 

Expanding from the Data Mining field to analysis tools such as the Whelby Decision Cube and the Spuddables WebApp, Micotan now provides cutting edge “Work Flow” technology through its latest product, Generwell Data Management Applications.

 

Through Data Design, Micotan Software Company Ltd. continues to bring the future to the Oil Patch.

Walter Semkuley, President

Walter Semkuley is a co-founder of Micotan and has been its CEO since incorporation in 2002.  With over 35 years of experience as a Chartered Accountant, Walter brings a wealth of business experience and knowledge.
 

Frank Antolovich, Executive Vice President

Mr. Antolovich brings Micotan over 30 years experience in the oil & gas service industry mainly in Western Canada including eight years of field work culminating in key decision making roles such as VP Sales & Marketing for a major multinational independent service provider in Canada and USA. 

 

Chris McPhee, Director of Operations

Chris McPhee has over 15 years of experience in technology development and management from a variety of sectors including retail, defense, and oil & gas.

Chris has a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Software Engineering and undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. He is also skilled in project planning, risk mitigation, agile methodologies, software design, and data modeling.


Karina Semkuley, Director of Sales
 
Karina Semkuley joined the sales team at Micotan in 2004.  Since that time, her success as a sales person and
focus on client relationships has earned her the position of Director, Sales.


Ashley Stein, Sales Representative

Ashley Stein is our newest addition to the sales team. Ashley attended Fort Worth County Day School in Texas then headed to Atlanta to study at Emory University. She stayed in Atlanta to pursue a Masters in Public Policy before making a move north to Calgary. Ashley started at Micotan in the Summer of 2011. Her education has helped cultivate a strong work ethic and eye for detail, providing consistency and attentiveness for our clients.
